Applications
Scanning applications can obviously vary to suit the client’s needs. This is best demonstrated by using two existing clients as examples.
Carat:
Carat’s application is an archival one.
Every three months they pass over all their documentation to Turtle for scanning.
Essentially their retrieval rate is low but they have confidence of knowing that any data is easily
accessed if need be. This also benefits Carat from a disaster recovery point of view.
Ogilvy & Mather:
Ogilvy & Mather’s application involved the scanning of the finance documentation on a weekly basis.
This enables the department to access current information and utilise it for billing purposes and other
general referencing.
Their retrieval rate is obviously higher than that of Carat’s.
